Tradition

Since its inception decades ago, our Alligator Soup afterschool program established a long-standing tradition of providing well-rounded enrichment for our boys. Then Athletic Director, Mr. Muller, was a pioneer in understanding the value of extracurricular enrichment for young boys.

Mr. Muller coordinated a variety of activities, including sports with boys from other New York City schools. With Allen-Stevenson's students sporting the letters "A-S" on their athletic shirts, boys from another school began calling A-S teams "Alligator Soup" and our boys loved it!

Thus, a revered A-S institution was born.
