Yes, boys must be 5 by September 1 for the year they begin Kindergarten—in other words, September 1, 2026 for this admissions season. Families of boys with summer birthdays should also consider Cornerstones , Allen-Stevenson's Transitional Kindergarten.

We are delighted that Allen-Stevenson alumni and families who have sons of school age are interested in applying to the School! We encourage you to apply early in order to complete the admissions process, especially if you would like to be considered for “early notification”, in accordance with ISAAGNY policies.

The application fee is $$75 and is waived if you are applying for Financial Aid.

Each year, we accept applications for Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grade 6. Candidates applying for Grades 1–4, 5 and 7 should reach out to the Admissions Office at: [email protected] , before submitting an application.

For Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grade 1, an application, parent visit (interview and tour), applicant visit and assessment, and ISAAGNY Report complete the application. For Grades 2 through 8, an application, parent visit (interview and tour), applicant visit  and assessment, school reports, ISAAGNY Recommendations, and ERB’s ISEE test scores complete an application.
