Secondary School Process
Applying to high school at Allen-Stevenson is a partnership in which our role is to listen, inform, and guide our students and families throughout the process. This is an important moment in a boy's life when he has agency in these important next steps.
- Personalized Guidance (7th Grade): Beginning in the spring, the Director of Secondary School Placement meets with families to outline the process and identify each student’s ideal school profile.
- Student-Led Exploration: Students articulate their goals and, with guidance from families and the SSC Director, curate a targeted list of 5 schools.
- In-House Preparation: Standardized test prep, testing, and mock interviews all take place directly at Allen-Stevenson.
- Active School Partnerships: We maintain strong relationships with top high schools and alumni to ensure best-fit placements and long-term student success.
