Literary Abundance During Book Week 2017

Book Week kicked off with the entire School Drop Everything and Read (DEAR). Boys could be seen comfortably stretched out on the floor with a book, or in small groups in the case of the Upper School boys who delighted in reading to the kindergartners. Teachers and staff members also enjoyed the chance to read for pleasure for half an hour during the school day. At the end of the reading time this year’s Mystery Reader read a poem over the intercom system. Boys had all week to submit their guess as to who the reader might be. Thank you Receptionist René Rivera for being this year’s reader!

Allen-Stevenson’s distinctive “enlightened traditional” approach educates boys to become scholars and gentlemen.
