First Monday Morning Meeting Kicks Off With Remarks from Head of School David Trower

Monday Morning Meeting continues to be a warm, familiar space where our Middle and Upper School communities come together weekly to share in a common experience.
Head of School David Trower addressed our first Monday Morning Meeting of the year on Monday, September 14. “Passionate learners, compassionate achievers. You may not know it, but the word ‘passion’ is one of my favorites. It comes from Latin and Greek roots and has to do with being vulnerable and opening yourself up so that new possibilities, strengths, and qualities can emerge.”

Mr. Trower went on to say, “Seek out what others think, how they live, what they value, and what they believe in even if it is different from you, because you can learn a lot from recognizing that we are not all the same.”

Allen-Stevenson’s distinctive “enlightened traditional” approach educates boys to become scholars and gentlemen.
