Families and Educators Celebrate Year End Together During Middle School Closing Exercises

Middle School students, families, faculty and staff gathered remotely during our Middle School Closing Exercises on June 12.
Together, we celebrated our students’ significant accomplishments this school year - and there was much to celebrate. Our boys have shown incredible perseverance, adaptability, and resilience when faced with the challenges of remote learning.
We also congratulated our sixth graders, who will be advancing to the Upper School this coming school year.
Middle School Head Kim Kyte congratulated our boys on finishing a year we all will remember as being filled with unforeseen challenges. “You are a resilient, motivated, happy and helpful group of boys,” said Ms. Kyte. “And, I would use another word – my favorite in the A-S Code – you are good boys.”
Teachers also recorded heartfelt video messages for our boys, reflecting on the boys’ many and tremendous accomplishments during their time as Allen-Stevenson Middle Schoolers.
We want to thank our student speakers for the immense effort they put into preparing heartfelt speeches on behalf of their classes and for the poise with which they presented them. A huge thank you to Benoit Bracey and Atri Midha for the Fourth Grade Speech, Cooper Corleto and Tyler Parrot for the Fifth Grade Speech, and Maurya Srivastava for the Sixth Grade Closing Remarks.
A huge thank you as well to Soham Sethi, Alex Moeder, Pierce Harris, and the Middle School Chorus for their beautiful musical performances.
Congratulations, Middle Schoolers, and we cannot wait to see you in the Upper School next year, Sixth Grade!

Allen-Stevenson’s distinctive “enlightened traditional” approach educates boys to become scholars and gentlemen.
