Lower Schoolers Celebrate Importance of Kindness During Friday Assembly

⁣Allen-Stevenson Lower Schoolers gather each Friday for a community assembly.
On Friday, May 8, our youngest boys sang songs and talked about joy and kindness with Music Teacher Ian Taggart and Lower School Head Stephen Warner. We are so grateful to be part of a school community that continues to find opportunities to gather in groups remotely to provide each other support and friendship. ⁣

⁣Mr. Warner welcomed the boys by saying, “I have been looking forward to this all day. Feeling the presence of you boys and teachers just makes my day. I would love to talk a little about kindness. There are so many kind people at Allen-Stevenson. Every day when I go into a Zoom classroom or am gathered remotely with people, there is so much joy and kindness. People are supporting each other and it feels so good. It lifts my spirits and helps me do my job better. So, today, I want to talk about how acts of kindness can be passed along and grow and grow and grow. The more we can do that in our world, the better off we will be.”

Allen-Stevenson’s distinctive “enlightened traditional” approach educates boys to become scholars and gentlemen.
