Second Grade Artists Craft Helicopters in Three Forms

Our second graders studied helicopters during woodshop class and created artistic renditions in three different forms.
During the planning stages of their helicopter design, the boys created collages of their envisioned aircrafts using colored paper and glue.

Next, the boys took these to the next dimension by creating them out of cardboard and tape. You can check out their final products in the front display cases in the School Lobby!

As the third and final step in their project, the boys have brought these ideas to wood where they are learning new skills (and safety measures) with tools to create models with moving parts.
