Outdoor Fun at FASB Camping Trip

On Saturday, September 14, Allen-Stevenson held its first ever camping trip organized by Fathers of Allen-Stevenson Boys (FASB).
The fifth- and sixth-grade boys and their fathers took part in an impressive array of outdoor activities including rock-climbing, canoeing, archery, parent/son basketball games, tennis matches, soccer, baseball and a spirited tug of war battle. Despite a little rain delay, the Saturday BBQ was a huge success (thanks to the dads with umbrellas that kept the burgers dry). With 56 campers, there were certainly lots of s’mores enjoyed by the campfire that night. The highlight of the weekend was seeing the boys and dads spending time together and making new friends.
We look forward to next year’s camp out!
