A-S Community Fun On and Off the Ice at PA Skating Party

With stunning views overlooking the Hudson River, and the Statue of Liberty in the distance, families, faculty and staff, including Headmaster David Trower, gathered at Chelsea Piers for the Community Ice Skating Party on the evening of January 31.
"The beautifully lit room off the rink not only provided amazing views, it also gave everyone a relaxing space to mingle during breaks from skating, with tables of plentiful food," said PA President Liz Steinberg.
A playlist of grade-chosen songs, from "Up-Town Funk" to "Can’t Stop the Feeling!" had skaters grooving on the ice.
Photo ops with the Devils Mascot and players, as always, were a treat, thanks to the generosity of the Harris family. Goody bags from the Devils were also a bonus!
New this year was a popcorn machine and an extremely popular photo booth, the latter bringing out everyone’s silly side. Another nice addition was a bus, which provided transportation to and from the School to the venue, building community spirit from the start.
Liz Steinberg said, "An inside venue proved to be ideal as it meant that we didn’t have to worry about rain as we have in the past, or really cold temperatures, as was the case last night. I think the impressive turnout reflected this!"
Thank you to the co-chairs, Amy Brayman, Kristan Spamer and Liza Ganitsky, for organizing such a fabulous evening!
