  • Allen-Stevenson offers the opportunity to be a part of a large ensemble starting in the Third Grade and continuing through to the 8th Grade. The School has five large ensembles, one each for Grades Three and Four and three for Grades Five through Eight, which includes the Allen-Stevenson Orchestra. The ensembles are a way for boys to use the skills learned in their instrumental lessons to collaborate and perform orchestral music with their classmates. It’s also a wonderful chance for the boys to play music from a wide variety of genres and eras of music history. Participating in the ensembles teaches skills such as teamwork, leadership, and ensemble skills.
  • Each group performs in concerts and at various school and community events throughout the school year, including Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Upper Division Assemblies, and annual concerts. The Allen-Stevenson Orchestra travels and performs throughout the Northeast. Past trips have also included Princeton, Yale University, Philadelphia, and Mystic, Connecticut.

Allen-Stevenson’s distinctive “enlightened traditional” approach educates boys to become scholars and gentlemen.
