Repairs - Lost - Stolen

Repairs

Report all damage or problems to the IT Help Desk in the library. All warranty and minor repairs are covered. If repairs cannot be completed in-house and an insurance claim must be made, the following graduated fee schedule applies: first repair = $0; second repair = $50; three + repairs = $100 per event. If a family receives financial aid, the same discount applies to laptop repairs. If a computer cannot be repaired immediately, the student will be issued a loaner computer to use while the computer is being repaired.

Students who continue to require repairs will be required to participate in a remediation course.

Lost or Stolen

If your laptop is lost or stolen, you need to report this immediately to your Homeroom Teacher (6th Grade) or Advisor (7th - 9th Grade) and the Tech Team. Once the Tech Team has been notified, they will enable the tracking feature on your laptop.

List of 3 items.

  • If lost in a cab or bus

Note the location and time you were dropped off. If you have a receipt or cab number, please provide that information as well. Many times lost laptops are returned to the school. Your parents will need to keep in contact with the transportation company’s lost and found until the laptop is recovered. They will also need to contact the police, fill out a police report, and turn in a copy of that report to the school for insurance purposes.
  • If the laptop was stolen

You or your parents will need to contact the police, fill out a police report, and turn in a copy of that report to the IT Help Desk at school.
